1. Is FTTC Broadband available in my area?
We would need to run a check against your postcode or an existing number that is serving your business to assess the availability of Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) services in the area. This same check will provide us with an estimate of the speeds available.
If you are fortunate enough to be located near to the local exchange then you can expect to reach 80Mb download speed with up to 20Mb of upload.
2. My phone bills keep getting higher, can you help lower my monthly costs?
Its important to start with a review with your most recent bills so we can understand the existing services in place and get a view of where costs have started to increase over time. We would assess the call activity over a period of months to get a feel for the types of calls being made-Local, National, Mobile, International for example to see if they are contributing to the increase in costs.
Once a full review has been carried out, our team will provide a recommended course of action to deliver a more cost effective price structure to move forward.
3. How reliable is VoIP for business?
As with any VoIP service, it will only perform as well as the Broadband connection powering the service. If you are attempting to run a 50 user business across an ADSL2+ connection then the chances are it will not perform as anticipated, however, if a sufficient Broadband service is installed and will only be used for the VoIP service then you stand a much better chance of having a quality VoIP system.
For companies of a certain size and with bigger data usage, we recommend having a separate connection for Voice & Data Services. If those same companies have budget for a Leased Line then all services can be served from the same Dedicated Internet Connection.
A full audit and assessment of your specific business needs will always be required to determine if a VoIP solution is the right fit for your business.
4. I don’t understand the bills I keep getting from my current supplier, can you review them for me?
What is it that you do not understand? Have you spoken to your supplier that you are finding it difficult to understand some of the charges?
Our team would be happy to help you and steer you in the right direction and provide you with some clarity.
5. If we choose to work with FP Cloud Networks, will we have an Account Manager looking after us?
Absolutely. As a smaller, more niche Telecoms reseller business we strive to deliver a personal service by taking the time to get to know you and your business. You can expect to have regular account reviews too.
Its a key part of our service and one that sets us apart from the biggest names in the industry.
6. My business is growing and will grow further in the next 12 months. We will need a lot of bandwidth and thinking that a leased line will be a good fit? Can you help?
Of course and it sounds like its the type of connectivity needed to help sustain that growth and ensure maximum operational capacity.
Given the importance of the situation, it sounds like an overall network review could be required to ensure that all systems are working efficiently both from an Operational & Commercial perspective.
Our team will be happy to walk you through the steps to determine the specific Leased Line required.
7. If we buy several services from you, will they all be billed on the same monthly invoice?
Yes that would be our standard method for billing even if you had a mix of VoIP, Broadband and Business Mobiles. We try to keep everything as straightforward as we possibly can for you.
8. How much do calls cost with FP Cloud Networks?
This very much depends on which type of Telephone System you are using.
A Phone System with ISDN lines will have calls billed on a Pence per Minute rate, billed to the second.
The majority of VoIP platforms provide a ‘bundle’ of minutes to UK Landlines & Mobiles meaning that the only calls that typically cost are International or Premium rate services.
If you are still unsure about why your bill appears to be higher than anticipated, we would be happy to walk you through the costings.
9. Which handsets does your VoIP system support?
We only provide handsets that have been fully tested and verified by the platform owner. Our VoIP system works best with Cisco, Yealink and Polycom VVX handsets for the highest quality HD Voice.
10. Which CRM systems does your VoIP system integrate with?
The Horizon platform supports integration with the following CRM and Accounting Software systems:
Skype for Business Integration
Web Page Dialling
Sage 50 Complete Accounting
Sage 50 Accounts
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
11. How much will a 1GB bearer Leased Line cost our business each month?
We would need to understand some further details before being able to provide a quotation.
There are a number of factors to consider here not just the monthly cost for the service. Firstly, we need to run some initial checks to determine the availability of Ethernet services to your Business premises. Subject that getting a green light then a Full Site Survey will be required by the Service Provider at which point a lead time will be provided (which should be used as a guide).
12. Why are ISDN lines being phased out?
Openreach have announced that the ageing copper networks which serve the ISDN2 & ISDN30 lines will be phased out by 2025. Businesses have until that date to switch to alternative services such as VoIP or SIP to provide their Voice services.
A number of businesses are switching now, for a variety of reasons, including Commercial-it can often be more expensive to run these legacy lines over a more modern, robust Hosted Voice service.
Our team are engaging with businesses across Berkshire, Sussex & Surrey to start putting a plan in place to discuss the next step in their Communications strategy.
